 | | Swiss ERP specialists A-MEA Informatik AG and VLEXconsulting AG commit to a strategic partnership and their joint futureA-MEA Informatik AG from Arbon, Switzerland, and VLEXconsulting AG, based in Rheineck, Germany, and Sursee, Switzerland, with their various areas of expertise, are joining forces. They will in future be offering their ERP products Comarch Semiramis, VlexPlus and VlexPlan throughout Switzerland jointly via VLEXconsulting AG. This close cooperation will be further reinforced in that each partner is to be fully represented in the firm. Jürg Feuz and Paul Lutz will assume the responsibilities of MDs for the new venture. Sursee/Arbon, 02/05/2011 – This joint venture means that the Group will in future be able to bring together the expertise and industry know how of more than 100 highly trained and supremely motivated employees, as well as their services in the fields of consultancy, project management and development. This will be entirely for the benefit of its customers, initially in Switzerland, but, at a later juncture, in Germany as well. This strategic partnership will mean that long-term synergies can be created, resources combined – in particular for major customers from the medium-sized business sector – and implementation of complex introductory projects jointly pursued. The two companies, which for many years have been Comarch system partners, will also combine and extend their product portfolio. This will include their own complementary solution components, such as, for example, production data acquisition, CRM (customer relationship management), central production control and EDI (electronic data interchange) based on Comarch ECOD. Their aim is also to open up new fields of business. “Nevertheless, new and existing customers of both A-MEA Informatik AG and VLEXconsulting AG will not just benefit from the permanent combination of many areas of expertise and a wider range of solutions from a single provider. More importantly, they will also enjoy greater security of investment, as well as infrastructures – now at three locations in Switzerland – whose existence is assured over the long term. This proximity to the customer, in terms both of location and of content, will always be a distinctive feature in expanding the joint venture in the future,” explains Paul Lutz, MD of VLEXconsulting Rheineck. A-MEA Informatik AG, headquartered in Arbon, Switzerland, has been a Comarch Semiramis partner since 2003, and therefore a partner right from the outset. It has many years’ experience of introducing ERP and PPS systems at medium-sized companies in the production and trade sectors. A-MEA’s core competences cover turnkey ERP project realisation, objective process consultancy advice, as well as comprehensive hardware and network support. Many of A-MEA’s customer references come from well-known companies, including Victorinox, for instance. “Merging our companies opens up completely new perspectives for us as an ERP specialist, particularly in Switzerland. In addition to our strong presence in eastern Switzerland, we now have the potential to service Semiramis and VlexPlus customers in the central Swiss plateau and central Switzerland generally from our Sursee location.
